We are a 46 bed, not for profit facility and have been contributing to the provision of quality care to the community since our opening in 1950. Our hospital, in collaboration with accredited private specialists, offers high quality, patient focussed care in a broad spectrum of speciality fields.
The Staff and Management of Glenelg Community Hospital recognise the important role our hospital plays as a part of the local community and in the provision of services to regional, interstate and international patients.
Located 50 metres from the beach our facility has beautiful surroundings providing a picturesque, relaxing setting for recovery. With a range of shopping, restaurant and accommodation facilities available nearby, an ideal setting is provided for family or friends supporting the patient.
Additional services provided to our patients and the community include a Pre- Admissions Clinic and Case Management.
Glenelg Community Hospital does not provide a casualty or accident and emergency service direct to the public.

At GCH we have implemented the following:
- All patients are asked at their pre-admission phone call appropriate screening questions. If you are deemed to be at risk due to symptoms or other information you provide, you will be prevented from entry to the Hospital.
- Remember hand hygiene is important. Please use the available hand sanitiser stations at the entrance and throughout the Hospital.
